Čingischán. Průvodce výstavou / Chinggis Khan. Guide to the exhibition

The guide is published for the exhibition of the same name held at the National Museum. The exhibition covers more than one thousand five hundred years of Mongolian history, from the first empires in the first millennium AD to the establishment of the Great Mongolian Empire in the 13th century. In addition to the war strategy of the Mongol armies, the emphasis is on cultural and economic exchange within the Greater Mongol Empire and contacts with European travellers, diplomats and craftsmen. The guide presents the most interesting exhibits covering all the historical periods and themes represented in the exhibition. The objects come from the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, the Archaeological Museum of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and the national Museum – Náprstek Museum of Asian, African and American Cultures. The guide is accompanied by a map and a basic chronology. Photographs of the exhibited objects are accompanied by photographs from Mongolia by Václav Šilha.
