The Deir el-Medina and Jaroslav Černý Collections

Deir el-Medina is an archaeological site with the settlement and burial site of privileged workers - artists and craftsmen – builders of the New Kingdom royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings and káloven. Náprstek Museum collection includes not only the selection of texts, but also objects - pottery, clothing and other items of daily use to which these people are surrounded and that illustrate their lives.
