The second volume of the series dedicated to the archaeological exploration of the ancient site of Wad Ben Naga in the present-day Republic of Sudan focuses on the two temples located in the eastern part of the site, namely the so-called Eastern Temple (WBN 500) and the so-called Small Temple (WBN 400). The temples were uncovered in 1958–1959 by a Sudanese mission and re-excavated recently by the archaeological expedition of the National Museum. The report presents the history of exploration of both structures and its results, the finds retrieved from their vestiges, and the discussion on their architecture, chronological development and function.
