The personality of Vojta Náprstek is part of the Náprstek Museum's permanent exhibitions.
The life and work of Vojta Náprastek – founder of the Náprstek Museum, Prague patron, promoter of women’s education and progress in general – are presented in this small permanent exhibition.
The exhibition is devoted to: his family; his studies and the 1848 revolutions; his emigration to and life in America; the founding of a library after returning from the U.S.A.; the founding and activities of the American Ladies' Club; the founding of the Museum of Industry; his contacts with Czech and expatriate society; his relationships with travellers; and the subsequent development of the museum.
Texts are accompanied by period illustrations, photographs and copies of archive material.
Tickets can be purchased on-line or at the box office.
On Sunday, November 24, 2024, entry to the buildings of the National Museum is FREE, please do not buy tickets for a visit on this day.
The e-ticket is valid for 30 days from the day of purchase for a one time entry.
