For the last three years IT services at the National Museum have been working under a new name - the Department of Digitisation and Information Systems (ODIS). During this period, the National Museum managed, without exaggeration, to carry out a revolutionary IT process with four main milestones: the Microsoft 365 cloud, the commissioning of reliable systems for audiovisual elements in the exhibitions, the rapid renewal of computer equipment and an order of magnitude increase in the connectivity. It can be stated that the IT department has succeeded very well in these areas.

Mobile app

For second year straight, the development of the National Museum's mobile app continued and culminated in testing of all of the basic modules - guided tours, navigation to points of interest, and the purchase of tickets. At the same time, several thousand battery-powered Bluetooth beacons were installed in the Historic Building, which make navigating the building more accurate. The last part of the app is in the testing process - the augmented reality of the blue whale Myšok, in which we are preparing a visualization of the whale directly at the exhibition site.
