One of the construction and investment projects of the National Museum included in the programme financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic is the revitalisation of the Náprstek Museum. In 2020, a selected consortium of architects from Brno, represented by Ing. arch. Radko Květ, Rada Architekti and Adam Rujbr Architects continued the project preparation for the renovation of the historic complex on Betlémské náměstí and the new construction of the central depository located in the premises of the National Museum in Horní Počernice.
In the course of 2020, design documentation was submitted for both of these investment projects and discussed with the future users, the staff of the Náprstek Museum. The restoration of the buildings of the Náprstek Museum with a new building located in the historical area on Betlémské náměstí was discussed with the conservation staff at several conservation councils. The suggestions and specific comments were incorporated into the next stage of the project documentation, into the documentation for the zoning procedure, which was submitted to the National Museum in 2021 and put into the legislative procedure.
The documentation for the construction of the central depository of the Náprstek Museum on the premises of the National Museum in Horní Počernice was submitted for inspection and legislative proceedings. Both of the above-mentioned construction and investment projects have been initiated at the next stage of project documentation for building permits.
In 2021, the National Museum received a decision from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic to finance an investment project related to the revitalisation of the Náprstek Museum, the demolition of the former Humberto Circus building, located in the Horní Počernice area, where the Náprstek Museum depository will be built. Additionally, the National Museum received a decision from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic to provide subsidies for projects related to new exhibitions, the multimedia line, and the Time-Lift 360. In 2021, the National Museum carried out a reconstruction of the server room in the New Building of the National Museum, financed by the program financing.
The project documentation for the reconstruction of the roof cladding of the depository of the Czech Museum of Music in Litoměřice, the static assessment of the building of the Archive of the National Museum Na Zátorách in Prague 7, and the documentation for the repair of the balconies and terraces of the Kinský Letohrádek in Prague 5 were completed from own resources.
Furthermore, a restoration evaluation and a plan for the restoration of the stairs in the garden of the Antonín Dvořák Museum in Prague 2 was completed, as well as project documentation for the repair of the fence wall of the chateau park in Vrchotové Janovice, on the basis of which an investment plan was drawn up and subsequently submitted for registration to the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic with a goal of registering for a programme financing of this event.
