Entrance fees

We recommend purchasing a timed ticket to the Children's Museum on-line (in order to reserve a time slot). Tickets to the Museum Complex can also be purchased in mobile app, self-service ticket machine or at the box office in the Historical or New Building.

If the capacity of the building is full, access is temporarily suspended. That usually happens at weekends around noon, on holidays. Priority entrace for ticket-holders. The usual waiting time is 30–45 minutes.

After it ends at the time indicated on the ticket, it is necessary to leave the premises. Please arrive at the entrance no earlier than 15 minutes before it starts (New building, 2nd floor).

Gift voucher 370 CZK

The gift voucher is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase for a one-time entry to the Museum Complex of the National Museum, i.e. to the Historical and New Buildings.

The gift voucher does not apply to the Children's Museum and Czech Press Photo exhibition.

Gift vouchers can also be purchased at all ticket offices of the National Museum.

Please bring tickets purchased on-line (valid for 30 days from the date of purchase for a one time entry) printed or stored on your mobile phone.

Guided tour of the Pantheon of the National Museum

Come and see one of the most beautiful and celebrated halls in our country. Together we will climb a representative staircase to the Pantheon itself, show paintings and sculptures by famous Czech artists, explore the busts and statues of individual historical personalities, and remember their fates. The tour does not include a visit to the cupola.

Barrier-free entrance

The building is wheelchair accessible with the exception of the dome and the upper floors of the Children's Museum. Barrier-free access to the Historical Building leads through the visitor entrance of the New Building, the cafe and the connecting passageway. There are wheelchair-accessible lifts on both sides of the exit from the connecting corridor in the Historical Building. A wheelchair can be rented in the cloakrooms of the Historical and New Buildings.

Parking for disabilty cards holders

The parking space for holders of disability cards is located in the basement of the Historical Building (at sidewalk level), across the left side entrance from Vinohradská street. If you are interested in parking in a reserved space in the Historical Building, you must write to nm@nm.cz AT LEAST 1 WORKING DAY BEFORE THE PLANNED VISIT. Please include the name, date and time of expected arrival and vehicle registration number in the e-mail and wait for the booking confirmation.

Cloakroom

They are located in both buildings and are free of charge. Backpacks and luggage larger than 40 × 30 × 20 cm or umbrellas must be left here. Golf carts, walkers and wheelchairs are available for free.

Entrance with a pushchair

For safety reasons, it is not possible to enter the Children's Museum with a pushchair. To enter the Museum Complex with a pushchair, use the entrance to the New Building. Continue to the Historical Building through the cafe and the connecting corridor.

Changing table

The Museum Complex is fully equipped with changing tables (located also in men's toilets).

Kids' Corner

In the New Building, it is located on the 4th floor in the History of the 20th century long-term exhibition. We recommend a visit to the Children's Museum on the 2nd floor of the New Building with a special ticket.

Cafe

Bistro National Museum is located in the eastern hall of the Historical Building and on the first floor of the Historical Building at the entrance to the exhibition Windows to Prehistory: open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, as well as in the New Building: open daily 9.30 am–7 pm.

Shop

The museum shops are located in the eastern hall of the Historical Building next to the café and on the first floor of the Historical Building at the entrance to the Windows to Prehistory exhibition. They offer publications of the National Museum, souvenirs of ongoing exhibitions and the building itself, postcards, etc.
