Na západním okraji louky v centru parku, na vrcholu stráně nad potokem postavil v roce 1887 rytíř Karel Nádherný (1846–1895) pro svou tehdy dvouletou dceru Sidonii malý altánek a pojmenoval ho Sidoniin domek (Sidonienhaus). Měl kruhový půdorys, okna s barevnými skly a věžičku. Vydržel do 20. let 20. století, pak byl – už ve špatném stavu – rozebraný. Když sem ale Sidonie sázela později růže a různé druhy květin, zapisovala si do svého zahradnického deníku, že je umístila „k Sidoninu domku“, nebo „pod Sidoniin domek“ – pro ni altánek nikdy nezmizel. Na archivní fotografii zahlédnete i tři postavičky sourozenců – Sidonie, Johannese a Charlieho, přibližně desetiletých.

In 1887, the knight Karel Nádherný (1846–1895) built a small gazebo for his then two-year-old daughter Sidonie on the western edge of the meadow in the centre of the park, on the top of the hill above the stream, and named it Sidonie’s house (Sidonienhaus). It had a circular floor plan, stained glass windows and a small tower. It was there until the 1920s, then it was – already in poor condition – dismantled. But when Sidonie was later planting roses and various kinds of flowers here, she wrote in her garden diary that she had planted them “next to Sidonie’s house” or “under Sidonie’s house” – for her, the gazebo never stopped existing. In the archive photograph, you can also see three siblings – Sidonie, Johannes and Charlie, all about ten years old.
